Nobuto Yasui worked at the Central Research Laboratory of the major Japanese general electronics manufacturer, A.T. Kearney (Strategy Consulting), Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, Deloitte India, Deloitte South East Asia, and the new business development division of major Japanese integrated trading and investment business conglomerate prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Yasui earned his master's degree in engineering from Kyoto University and his doctorate in mechanical sciences and engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology School of Engineering.
Yasui has engaged in the development of sustainability strategies and new businesses related to SDGs for private companies and government agencies. Yasui also has extensive consulting experience in R&D strategies for advanced technologies including its commercialization. Yasui has been actively involved in hands-on investment and business development of decarbonization-related technologies, including energy storage devices.

Ayumi Yamori worked at A.T. Kearney (Strategy Consulting), Google, and startups prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.

Yamori earned her Bachelor degree in public law from the University of Tokyo. Yamori has experience in a wide range of projects including business strategy development and organizational reform, and in recent years she has been in charge of many projects related to sustainability and "Business and Human Rights".
Yamori is co-author of the book "An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022). Her comments regarding to Human Rights and social issues are regularly quoted by major media outlets such as Nikkei, Yomiuri, Jiji Press, CBC TV, and other media.
Yamori has numerous track records as a speaker at the seminars such as Business and Human Rights seminar held by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (2021), the Sustainability and Human Rights seminar held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Human Rights Plaza (2022), and the Sustainable Brands International Conference (2023).
Yamori completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 which is the international standard in the field of labor and human rights and lead consultant and assessor for ISO 30414 (Human Resource Management).

Asuna Okubo worked at a major Japanese financial institution, an IT advisory firm, and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Okubo earned her Bachelor degree in economics from Keio University and her masters’ degree in urban development economics from University College London.
Okubo has been in charge of numerous projects focusing on sustainability strategies and worked on wide sets of sustainability related issues including materiality identification, "Business and Human Rights," environmental policy (e.g. decarbonization, circular economy), and non-financial information disclosure.
Okubo is co-author of the books "An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022) and "Ethical White Paper 2022-2023" (Yamakawa Publishing, 2022). Her articles, comments and interviews regarding to the sustainability issues are regularly quoted by major media outlets.
She was a speaker at the Business and Human Rights seminar organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (2021).

Tadaaki Sato worked at the Mineral & Metal Resources Business Unit of major Japanese integrated trading and investment business conglomerate, Roland Berger (Strategic Consulting), Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, Accenture, and major telecommunications equipment manufacturer prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Sato earned his Bachelor degree in law from Waseda University and his masters’ degree in global governance from Hitotsubashi University School of International and Public Policy.
Sato has extensive experience in project management related to the development of corporate, business, and organizational strategies including the new business development, digital strategy. He has been involved in numerous policy making projects for government agencies and his particular expertise is strategic planning for rule-making and creating new markets.
Sato has been a speaker of seminars regarding to technology and policy, which are held by government and government-related organizations.

Ikuhiro Hoshijima worked at Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Kagawa Five Arrows, and McKinsey & Company prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Hoshijima earned his Bachelor degree in law from Kyoto University and an MBA (Drucker School) from Claremont Graduate University.
Hoshijima was engaged in policy making for multilateral trade negotiations and economic cooperation (WTO, APEC, OECD), nuclear safety and industrial safety regulations, and SME financial support in METI. Later, He worked as the representative of the management company of “Kagawa Five Arrows” which is a team belonging to the B. League and achieved the profitability through entry into the B. League.
As a consultant, Hoshijma has engaged in numerous projects such as corporate and business strategies development, new business development strategies, company’s restructuring, corporate integration after M&A, quantification of the effectiveness of rule-making measures, building intelligence systems, change management, and policy making for central government agencies.

Junichi Sugawara worked as an expert researcher at the Permanent Mission of Japan to the OECD in charge of trade, investment, and cooperation with non-member countries, and a principal researcher in the research department of Mizuho Research & Technologies prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Sugawara has been engaged in policy analysis on trade policy and economic security for many years, and has contributed numerous articles, lectures, appearances on TVs/radios regarding to WTO, EPA (FTA, TPP, RCEP, etc.), APEC, US-Japan/US-China trade relations and economic security strategies of major countries. He is also a visiting researcher at the Institute for International Trade and Investment (ITI).
He is co-author of the book "RCEP Commentary" (Japan Tariff Association, 2022), "Trends in FTA Strategies: Challenges and Prospects" (Bunshindo Publishing Corporation, 2015), and "Asia Pacific New Trade Order: TPP and East Asian Economic Partnership" (Keiso Shobo, 2013).

Maiko Shiozaki worked at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting before prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Shiozaki earned her Bachelor degree in economics from Hitotsubashi University and her masters’ degree in comparative and world economics from Graduate School of Economics, Hitotsubashi University.
Shiozaki has been involved in numerous projects related to business strategy, sustainability, SDGs, Human Rights, policy development, Human Rights Due Diligence, and consulting for NGOs/NPOs.
Shiozaki is co-author of the book " An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022), and has written numerous publications, including "White Paper on Child Labor 2020: Business and Child Labor"（Deloitte, 2020）.
Shiozaki completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 which is the international standard in the field of labor and human rights and the associate certified fundraiser.
Shiozaki is currently the Executive Director of Fairtrade Label Japan, a certified NPO.

Mari Ishii worked for the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Finance (on secondment from the Cabinet Office), and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Ishii earned her Bachelor degree in international relations from the University of Tokyo and her masters’ degree in public policy and administration (International Development) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
At the Cabinet Office and Ministry of Finance, Ishii was engaged in research on economic and social policies, as well as strategic development with companies, NPOs, and others.
As a consultant, Ishii has been involved in numerous projects such as policy advisory related to SDGs and Human Rights for government agencies, strategy development of rule-making and new business for companies and NGOs/NPOs.
Ishii is co-author of the book "An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022), and has contributed numerous articles on SDGs and Human Rights to publications such as "Human Rights Management: Now is the Time for Awareness" (Nikkei Business Online, 2018) and "New Rules for Human Rights" (Monthly Isos,　2019). Ishii has been a speaker on SDGs and Human Rights at the lecture held by the Ministry of Justice, the Japan Society of Industrial Machinery Manufacturers, and other organizations.

Fukuyama worked for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) (Trade Policy Bureau, Multilateral Trade System Department, Asia and Pacific Division, Conformity Assessment Division) and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Fukuyama has extensive knowledge in the fields of trade and international affairs, including import/export customs clearance practices, interpretation of FTA/EPA rules, and analysis of international affairs.
In recent years, Fukuyama has been involved in projects and writings related to economic security measures and global trends in digital regulations.
Fukuyama is co-author of the book "Comprehensive FTA Guideline to Increase Corporate Profit" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2018). Fukuyama has also contributed to various publications such as "Expert Perspectives on RCEP Signing" (NIKKEI, 2020）and "Specialists' Views on Japan-UK EPA Signing"　(NIKKEI, 2020), served as a panelist for the webinar "The Power Balance in the Indo-Pacific and the Future of the Shifting International Order" held by Center for International Economic Collaboration in 2023. Fukuyama has given many lectures and contributed articles on trade, international affairs, Rule-making to major publications such as Nikkei, Nikkei Business Daily, World Economic Review, The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Japan Machinery Center for Trade and Investment.
Fukuyama is the registered customs specialist and a member of the U.S. Study Group of the Institute for International Trade and Investment (ITI).
Fukuyama is a certified customs officer.

Lisa Wakabayashi worked for Sanin Chuo Television, cent. Force, and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting prior to joining Owls Consulting Group.
Wakabayashi earned her Bachelor degree in arts in policy management from Keio University.
As a broadcaster, Wakabayashi has covered international affairs, educational issues, and sustainable business for public and private broadcasting news programs.
As a consultant, Wakabayashi has been involved in promoting government policies on SDGs, industry-academia collaboration projects, as well as providing consulting for NGOs/NPOs and conducting Human Rights Due Diligence.
Wakabayashi completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 which is the international standard in the field of labor and human rights.
