Ayumi Yamori worked at A.T. Kearney Japan (Strategy Consulting), Google Japan G.K , and startups prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Law from the University of Tokyo.
She is the head of the “Business and Human Rights” team, and leads wide range of projects related to sustainability, rulemaking, and geopolitics.
She is co-author of the books "An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022), and “Business, Geopolitics, and Economic Security” (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2025). She has also been featured frequently in media, providing expert commentary on Human Rights and Social Issues for major media such as Nikkei, Yomiuri, TV Asahi, among others.
Yamori has an extensive track record as a speaker at seminars such as “Business and Human Rights” seminar held by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (2021), the Sustainability and Human Rights seminar held by the Tokyo Metropolitan Human Rights Plaza (2022), and the Sustainable Brands International Conference (2023).
She completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 (International standard in labor and human rights), and is a lead consultant and assessor for ISO 30414 (Human Resource Management).

Asuna Okubo worked at a major Japanese financial institution, an IT advisory firm, and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in economics from Keio University and her Master’s degree in urban development economics from University College London.
She leads numerous strategic projects for companies, primarily in the areas of sustainability, business and human rights, and rulemaking. With a strong background in policy development, she is also well-versed in standardization strategies and trade policy, including Asia and Africa regions.
She is co-author of the books "An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People", “Business, Geopolitics, and Economic Security” (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. 2025), and "Ethical White Paper 2022-2023" (Yamakawa Publishing, 2022). Her articles, interviews, and expert commentary in the field of sustainability have been featured in major media outlets.
She completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 (International standard in labor and human rights), and the lead consultant and assessor program for ISO 30414 (Human Capital Disclosure).
She currently serves as a director of the Ethical Association of Japan.

Nobuto Yasui worked at the Central Research Laboratory of a major Japanese electronics manufacturer, A.T. Kearney Japan (Strategy Consulting), Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC (Japan), Deloitte India, and Deloitte Southeast Asia, the new business development division of a major Japanese trading and investment conglomerate and served as COO of a satellite imagery startup prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
He earned his Master's degree in Engineering from Kyoto University and his Ph.D. in Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

He is engaged in strategy formulation and business development in advanced technology fields, with a focus on carbon, biodiversity, non-financial disclosure (ESG), semiconductors, and secondary batteries.

Maiko Shiozaki worked at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Hitotsubashi University and her Master’s degree in Comparative and World Economics from Graduate School of Economics, Hitotsubashi University.
She has been involved in numerous projects in sustainability strategy development, business and human rights initiatives including human rights due diligence, rulemaking and policy development, as well as consulting for NPOs and NGOs.
She is the co-author of the book " An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022), and the author of "White Paper on Child Labor 2020: Business and Child Labor"（Deloitte, 2020）, articles in major media such as Alterna magazine, Nikkei ESG, JBpress. She also has an extensive track record as a speaker at the seminars such as “Business and Human Rights” seminar held by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (2021), among many others.
She completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 (International standard in labor and human rights), and is a certified Associate Fundraiser.
Her current roles include serving as an advisor to the Sustainable Restaurant Association Japan, a judge for the SDGs Special Prize at the Dentsu Advertising Awards, and the Secretary General of Fairtrade Label Japan, a certified NPO.

Mari Ishii worked for the Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Finance (on secondment from the Cabinet Office), and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Tokyo and her Master‘s degree in Public Policy and Administration (International Development) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
At the Cabinet Office and Ministry of Finance, she was involved in economic and fiscal policy planning and research on international regulatory systems. As a consultant, she has been engaged in numerous projects focused on sustainability, particularly in business and human rights.
She is the co-author of the book "An Introduction to Business and Human Rights for All Business People" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2022), has written articles for major media such as Nikkei Business, Gendai Business, and JBpress. Her comments have also been regularly quoted in the Nikkei Shimbun. She has also given lecturers at seminars such as “Business and Human Rights” seminar held by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (2021), and “Business and Human Rights: A New Essential for Working Professionals” seminar organized by the city of Fukuoka.
She completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 (International standard in labor and human rights).

Komomo Tamba worked at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from International Christian University (ICU), and her Master’s degree in International Development (Global Business and Sustainable Development) from University of East Anglia, UK.
She has engaged in numerous projects related to corporate sustainability strategy development, implementation of human rights due diligence, the formulation of human rights policies and procurement guidelines, has also supported rulemaking initiatives aimed at solving social issues through collaboration with NGOs.
She has written several publications on sustainability and human rights, including the “White Paper on Child Labor 2020: Business and Child Labor” (Deloitte, 2020), and a featured article in the monthly journal ISOS titled, “Latest Trends in Rulemaking for Solving Social Issues: Advancing Sustainable Public Procurement and Corporate Expectations”.
She completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 (International standard for labor and human rights).
She is also an advisor to Fairtrade Label Japan, a certified NPO.

Takako Hashida worked at Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC, PwC Consulting LLC, Apple Japan, Inc., prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA), U.S.A.
As a consultant, she has been involved in numerous public-sector projects related to regulatory strategy in emerging technology and services, support for standardization activities by private companies and research on overseas regulations.
At Apple Japan, Inc., she engaged in government affairs, including regulatory compliance and coordination with ministries for the launch of new products and services.
She has contributed to various publications on regulatory strategy and standardization, including a series titled “Trends in International Rulemaking in the Wake of COVID-19” in the monthly journal ISOS and a featured article in Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun titled “Using JIS in the Service Sector: Focus on Disaster Preparedness and Hospitality.”
She completed the Standardization Expert Training Program offered by the Japanese Standards Association (JSA).

Junichi Sugawara worked as an expert researcher at the Permanent Mission of Japan to the OECD in charge of trade, investment, and cooperation with non-member countries, and a principal researcher in the research department of Mizuho Research & Technologies, Ltd. prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
He has been engaged in policy analysis on trade policy and economic security for many years, and has contributed numerous articles, lectures, appearances on TV and radio regarding WTO, EPA (FTA, TPP, RCEP, etc.), APEC, US-Japan/US-China trade relations and economic security strategies of major countries. He is also a visiting researcher at the Institute for International Trade and Investment (ITI).
He is the co-author of several books, including: " The New Trade Order in the Asia-Pacific: TPP and East Asian Economic Partnership" (Keiso Shobo, 2013), “The Transformation of Globalization and the Future of the World Economic Order” (Bunshindo Publishing Corporation, 2023), “Business, Geopolitics, and Economic Security” (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2025).

Ayako Fukuyama worked at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) (Trade Policy Bureau, Multilateral Trade System Department, Asia and Pacific Division, Conformity Assessment Division) and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She has extensive knowledge in trade, geopolitical risks, and economic security, including import/export customs clearance practices, interpretation of FTA/EPA rules, and analysis of international affairs.
She is the co-author of the books “Business, Geopolitics, and Economic Security” (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2025), “The Transformation of Globalization and the Future of the World Economic Order” (Bunshindo Publishing Corporation, 2023), "Comprehensive FTA Guideline to Increase Corporate Profit" (Nikkei Business Publications, Inc., 2018), has contributed expert commentary to Nikkei articles such as “Expert Perspectives on Japan-US Summit” (2024), "Expert Perspectives on RCEP Signing" (2020）and "Specialists' Views on Japan-UK EPA Signing"　(2020). In 2023, she served as a panelist for the webinar titled "The Power Balance in the Indo-Pacific and the Future of the Shifting International Order" organized by the Center for International Economic Collaboration. She has also delivered many lectures and contributed articles on trade, geopolitics, and economic security to major publications such as Nikkei, Nikkei Business Daily, World Economic Review, The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Japan Machinery Center for Trade and Investment.
She is a certified customs broker, a visiting researcher at the Institute for International Trade and Investment (ITI), a member of U.S. Studies Committee, and the EU Digital Studies Committee.

Lisa Wakabayashi worked at San-in Chuo Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd., cent. Force Co., Ltd., and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting LLC prior to joining Owls Consulting Group, Inc.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Policy Management from Keio University.
As a broadcaster, she has covered international affairs, economy, and social issues for public and private broadcasting news programs, conducting interviews with business leaders, social entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts.
As a consultant, she has been involved in policy promotion initiatives involving government, industry, and academia centered around the SDGs, as well as consulting for NGOs and NPOs. She has also supported initiatives in the field of business and human rights, including human rights due diligence.
She completed the Basic Auditor Course of SA8000 (International standard in labor and human rights).
She is also an advisor to Fairtrade Label Japan, a certified NPO.
